Daniela acts for domestic and international clients on all aspects of maritime and commercial law, especially in matters mainly related to ship financing and corporate law. Beyond these more traditional areas, she helps clients in day-by-day business related to labour law, contract law or AML.
Daniela advises clients in relation to all aspects of corporate and finance law such as the assistance during S&P deals, including the negotiation of the terms for the sale of various vessels, the preparation of the documents as well as the assistance of the closing meeting. In addition, she also assists our clients during various loan restructuring and refinance matters.
Daniela joined one of our clients as secondee and supported them during six months in the liquidation of a EUR 2.6 billion portfolio of non-performing ship loans acquired by an American investor. This included both the sale of loan packages and the realisation of the securities themselves, e.g. by selling the vessels either through a private sale or through a court auction.
A further significant part of Daniela’s work is that she handles enforcement actions often involving multiple jurisdictions, e.g. the assistance of the enforcement team during simultaneous arrest of six vessels in six different countries, the preparation of the arrest of a cruise ship in Germany as well as the arrest of a container vessel in Canada.
Daniela also advises our clients in more general matters related to German labor law and contract law. For example, assisting in the restructuring of their offices and the downsizing of their team, GDPR queries, review and negotiation of contracts and assistance in litigation matters.
