With nearly 30 years’ experience, Jan is well recognised as an expert in the insurance and reinsurance field. He has advised numerous major participants – insurers, reinsurers, captives and brokers – in the worldwide re/insurance markets on coverage questions and disputes, relating to high value liability, property and business interruption claims and related subrogated recovery actions, as well as on the contractual terms and conditions of many different types of insurance and reinsurance.

Jan also handles commercial disputes in other areas and has managed substantial High Court litigation, appeal proceedings, and various arbitration and ADR processes. Jan provides the same level of rigour, experience, and sensitivity regardless of the size and nature of the matter at hand from relatively straightforward cases to extremely complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes.
