Marko advises domestic and international clients on all areas of maritime law with a special focus on ship financing as well as the sale and purchase of newbuilt- and second-hand tonnage. He also advised on questions of corporate law. Marko’s experience in legal questions revolving around financing encompass leasing structures, such as Japanese operating leases with call options (Jolco), general corporate financing and the implications of different financing and ownership structures to the registration of seagoing vessels. 

Marko joined ANCON BLUE LAW (respectively its predecessor) in July 2018 and has since gained experience in multiple departments, including Litigation/Insurance and the Yachting department. During his time in the firm, he had a six-month secondment in the legal department of a large German shipping liner.

Prior to joining the firm, Marko worked at a large German commercial law firm in the areas of energy and aviation and in the legal department of the Hamburg Police Force.
